hostrauser
It's beyond my comprehension how Crown can be ahead of Santa Clara, and the Cadets for that matter. Too much voice. If it can't be said with the music, it shouldn't be said at all. So... opera is crud to you? As is "Peter and the Wolf"? That's cool, I'll just ignore your opinions from here on out. Thanks for the head's up.

bluesman
Blue Devils definitely had the cleanest scatter drills of the night. Both they and Crown seem to have had off nights........ Cadets should easily come out on top in my opinion.
CAtrumpet
When he plays the flugelhorn solo Chuck Mangione smiles down on him Smiles down on him from Rochester? You know he's still alive, right?
Ed from Kansas
I've never understood statements like this. So are you implying that Crown's use of narration alone should automatically put them behind anyone that doesn't use it? It's been said a million times: if you don't like narration, just say it. Statements like this make no sense at all and make you sound like you don't know what you're talking about. Everyone has his own opinion. Maybe I'm just more of a drum corps purist than you are. We can agree to disagree.
saxfreq1128
BD didn't really program much room for applause into their show did they? The show is extremely continuous. Not that I don't admire that (or see how demanding that can be to perform), but maybe some programmed "this is where you clap" moments would get people on their side. Guardguy89
How does BD keep getting so much credit for their guard. Half the guard doesn't even really touch equipment until a good 3 minutes in, there's no body under tosses - ever, and they basically just pick up equipment, run to their sets and then do work on place. I even saw flags just walking front field with their flags stripped and no work!! I just don't get it - other guards would get murdered for doing any of the above!!!
jmc5682
Oh my gosh. What an amazing show BD has this year. They (BD) should win. I was blown away.
