Yes, this is a competitive activity revolving around placements and scores. All very important, to be sure. But its much, more more than that. Its what you do with others in your marching fraternity, when noone is looking, and when you are not looking for publicity, nor organizational gain nor competitive edge, that most defines who you are. Great Gesture, Boston Crusaders. This is a very classy gesture to offer a helping hand like this to a marching unit struck by an unforseen tragedy.
