Next on the field is the Troopers from Casper, Wyoming. Their 2014 program is entitled A People's House and consists of:

The Ramparts by Williams, Clifton

Original Music by Smith, Robert W

Shenandoah by Skinner, Frank

America The Beautiful by Ward, Samuel A.

Are there any other corps where the pit wears their hats (shako's, etc)?

Show opens with a solo mello, soon joined by three other horns. The guard in their vintage Trooper yellow dresses is stunning on the field. It's almost a shame they change out of them during the show.

Not that I'm aware of. Madison used to until 2002, I believe.

Tempo jumps after the intro and the music becomes more tense. A great brass moment with a unison statement at full volume that the crowd likes.

High speed pass through between two lines of horns on the 50 during the drum solo. This is a definite Paul Rennick drum book and I love it.

Tempo back down with a more reflective feel. Guard has removed the skirt portion of their uniform and is now wearing brown pants and boots. Yellow and brown silks match their uniform color scheme perfectly.

By the way, it's a show just watching Justin Anderson conduct. I love his enthusiasm and his "Trooper-ness"!
