TubaJon
Nothing much more to say about it than that. Do they really think that a model where a few shell out a lot of cash for a product is more lucrative than a lot shelling out a few? Maybe they can keep from releasing the past year or two on Itunes to keep from DVD/CD sales from slumping? Not sure what the deal is, but if they put all of the shows on Itunes, they would make a crap top off of someone like me, who doesn't want to pay a zillion dollars for their CD's.
Sanitape
I could see myself and others I know buying more DCI media that way. I would probably still buy the yearly Fan Network subscription too.
jackroberts
Methinks copyrights are the reason, but I hope that wouldn't be the case
gabe211
Apple takes 30% of the cut. Doubt DCI would be fond of that. Now, what if DCI released media on iTunes but raised prices by 30%?
ohwiseone
DCI on Itunes.. I wouldn't be against it.. But I mean Either way, I will still buy the shows..
2000Cadet
Would there need to be a relatively big fan base for that to happen? Just curious.
IMcomguy
Who still uses iTunes?
Kamarag
Who still uses iTunes? Millions of people use iTunes, especially for music. For music purchases, nothing even comes close.
Cappybara
Who still uses iTunes? People who own an apple device. Last time I checked, that number is way larger than the entire US population. There's your answer.
RContra
With Apple's cut of the profits, not to mention the massive, massive amount of new license agreements that must be met (and negotiated, and paid for, etc. etc.), iTunes makes absolutely zero sense for DCI. /thread
