2000Cadet
Now THIS has me excited.. X-pull? I doubt they're gonna be changing anymore drill at this point. But we shall see. Looks like they're staying 5 min from my old apartment. Maybe I will go watch rehearsal. Edited July 26, 2015 by 2000Cadet

Also, realistically they are introducing the visual/uniform changes and gauging their effect Edited July 26, 2015 by ZachDrumCorps

George Dixon
It's going to be VERY interesting to see what happens. The Cadets show relies almost ENTIRELY on drill to create visual effect. Little contribution by the guard. No contribution by anything else. It's all about run-and-gun and marching a LOT of well-crafted drill. Change the color palette -- some here have suggested all black ? -- and does that change hide errors OR does it dramatically hide the primary effect in the show? Put that guard in neon -- will it hide or accentuate errors? Gonna be very interesting to see what happens in Chester. Glad I'll be there to see it :-) "little contribution by the guard" = massive exaggeration (the guard is mere tenths behind the top guard and GE is similar and won GE just the other night) "no contribution by anything else" = untruth (really, the music contributes NOTHING?) also - we've seen the guard uniforms. One arm is in neon. The rest is black I agree one one thing - the Chester show will be interesting!
drummergirl
I happened to notice something on the schedule for the week that might mean nothing but who doesn't love to over speculate on DCP. Wednesday morning 8:30 AM Walmart run (prior to the closed ensemble rehearsal that night in uniform) from my time on tour with the Cadets I don't ever recall a daylight Walmart run. Wednesday morning 8:30 AM Walmart run (prior to the closed ensemble rehearsal that night in uniform) from my time on tour with the Cadets I don't ever recall a daylight Walmart run. Walmart is literally about 8 minutes away from their housing site. I'm not surprised they took advantage of that. Bowie is boring by the way. So glad I moved into DC lol...
