Troopers 2015: "Wild Horses"

Recommended Posts

Two updates from the Troopers camp:

First, it sounds like there will definitely be some kind of props in the show this year. They were asking for volunteers to drive a box truck for props this summer.

Second, this nice shot from the beginning of rehearsal this morning:

plot twist- itsnot a prop truck its a horse trailer. the horses are the props

Just get some extended snare drum scoops.

These two pictured are headed in the wrong direction. Long Island and the Belmont today are the other way.

But of course, DCI has already seen Triple Crown.

They could be related to this.

Just wanted to point out that, at this moment of this hour -- 11 a.m., June 11 -- the Troopers are assembled in formation, facing Casper, and playing the "Battle Hymn" chorale in memory of Jim Jones, who was buried on this day in 1994.

And that is why I love drum corps so much.

This was always one of my favorite moments of all days. I still get a little emotional every time I hear a recording of battle hymn.
