We Are Fixin To Go To Belton

The recaps tonight should include a 5-point penalty on the crowd.

Absolutely spot on. I was going to post the same thing.

I know Texas is a low tax state. Do the audiences in Texas get a tax if they clap too loudly for the Drum Corps youth there at the shows ?

First time seeing Academy this year. They have a show I could definitely watch again and get into. The ending was strong.

Hard to tell anything else from the feed.

Small crowd. Funny sounding venue. All electronics are way too loud.

Same light on other feed but they have light balance adjusted to see the field and background washed out - the way it should be

Hard to tell much from this feed, but Troop sounded good; drums seemed nice and tight; some new dynamic elements being worked into the horn book; the opening statement to "Adrenaline City" seems to have been handed over to lower brass, though I might have mis-heard. Visually, the big picture is great, but still too many seams and bubbles and interval issues. Some forms not linking up. Guard is picking things up, however, getting better, as far as I can see. Gotta get the individual visual tighter, though. Still hoping the brass can find an extra gear in the ballad. But this is a show that merely needs to be polished, not fixed. They're set up very well for Saturday.

Liked Academy as usual, bringin' the smiles.
