I did several years with the Glenn Miller Orchestra and when we played the old stuff that was definitely the style. He has great chops and a smooth, silky tone. This show is a little too happy go lucky theme wise for my taste, and I've already mentioned my thoughts on the guard skit with their dancing with cardboard cutout girls not cutting the mustard, but the brass playing, percussion playing, musical arrangements, so appealing, its real easy to look all past that.
