Cappybara
so - update on the Cadets/BD series http://www.fuse.tv/clash-of-the-corps This is gonna be terrible if they're gonna insist on the score aspect of BD vs Cadets. If they were gonna go that route, they should've chosen Crown or Bluecoats

If they were gonna go that route, they should've chosen Crown or Bluecoats They aren't going the "Score aspect" - "clash of corps" is just a marketing angle - the show is about the level of detail and work going into the activity, the competitive angle is just secondary Cadets & BD together have nearly 40 championships. They aren't going to pick a corps with zero and a corps with 1

They are definitely pitching it as a competition between the two and "who will win?" Any other show that has involved a competition, from cooking, to fashion to drag queens has always had the competitive pressure as the central focus, with the work and drama around it as the spice. No reason to believe this will different.
MikeRapp
Guarantee you the competition for scores will not be the story, it will be the personal challenges, conflicts and emotions around rehearsing, traveling and competing.

No reason to believe this will different. Actually a lot of it was discussed (for over a year) in the lead up to the contracts being signed. Privacy, tone, what sorts of things were off limits, nudity and/or comprimising situations etc Also if you look at the production company involved - the shows they've produced up to this date give you a sense of their approach - it isn't "drama" and it's done well Shows for Animal Planet, The Wahlburgers, Nightwatch, Lockup etc. Not "Jersey Shore" or "Real Housewives" Think more like the Nat Geo type Alaska shows And the producers looked at a lot of different organizations. They WANTED Hopkins and were very fond of him for the show. Let's face it - he has a big personality and a lot of the drum corps directors are a little dull and/or not ready for tv IMO... Once Cadets were a "lock" for the show their natural "rival" was obviously BD

YES. And they intend to stress the physical aspect of the activity as well. That's a quote straight from the producers & Dwayne Johson. The athletic nature of the activity will be a focus as well
2000Cadet
I'm eating sunflower seeds and watching French TGV trains daydreaming about what it would be like to have those types of trains in this country; all until I leave Chicago for Indianapolis tomorrow afternoon. Just in case anyone was wondering.
