1973 Argonne Rebels......

I would have had them perform in a standstill (17th place M & M/23rd place GE M & M) and without percussion (22nd place/19th place GE percussion) while letting their hornline (1st place) perform.

Holy crap, that's unbelievable. Did that happen a lot back then?

It often happened to Argonne, who had a fantastic hornline for years (mainly thanks to the teaching of Hall-of-Famer Sandra Opie).

It would have been nearly impossible for the rest of their corps to keep up with the brass.

Crown : hornline and battery continue to perform closer while guard engages in epic paintball battle (black hats vs white hats) for possession of the stagecoach. Using the members marching drill for cover is legal. Last guard member standing wins!

Everyone is a show designer and critic, until it would come time to actually do it.
