Senagod
Just saw it yesterday... For those of you who will be traveling south on the PA turnpike Northeast Extension that Saturday night, the turnpike will be closed between Quakertown and Lansdale in both directions from midnight until 6 am on Sunday. My advice would be to pick up Route 309 in Allentown and ride that all the way down to Lansdale and then pick up the turnpike. FYI. In other news, a Big Woodys sports bar is under construction right across the street from the Ham Fam. It won't be open in time for DCI East, unfortunately. Where isn't there road construction going on these days? Good info though.

Tim K
For those of us traveling from New England, traffic woes in Pennsylvania will be a minor inconvenience. We have to choose between the Tappan Zee Bridge or the George Washington Bridge on a Friday and which ever bridge you choose, the other turns out to be the better option. If we're returning back on Sunday, forget it, we might as well walk!
George Dixon
Dear everyone - almost every road in PA sucks, and typically long stretches have "lane closures" for several miles with no work actually being accomplished. And take extra care of "yield ramps" where folks with PA license plates slam on their brakes at yield signs for no apparent reason If you are following someone on a PA road with only 1 lane in each direction they will drive very slow, 10 or so miles below the speed limit, bu then inexplicably speed up during any "passing zone" so you are unable to pass them And once you arrive at the stadium in Allentown there is no parking lot - so just park in someone's lawn or if you're fortunate, a spot along a curb on a steep hill. Be sure your parking brake is in good working order This is in effect from the beginning of time until the end of time ;-)
xandandl
Hey gang, it's an election year. Everywhere there just seems to be a coincidence of road projects the same years the politicos are running for office, no matter what party. It's not a party for the rest of us. True, but in some cases federal highway funds have to be used up by a certain time.
xandandl
If I remeember correctly your occupation is a government job and where you live is one of those places where the government is a major employer. Far from the land of the Utes, many of us also pay a lot of State and local taxes to cover State and local roads of which we have a lot as we have more people and cars than coyotes, off road vehicles and stagecoaches.
