DCI-86
Who would have ever thought that BD and Vanguard would play some of the same music!

Cadevilina Crown
The repertoire for this show sounds AWESOME. Very reminiscent of the darker, yet innovative late 1990s/early 2000s SCV. And yes, I know that the Graham is already being done by BD, but that's an 18-minute-long piece, so there's a LOT of content to draw from.
jjeffeory
Ok, so "Triumph of Time" is the most popular brass band music being played this year. I'll be interested in hearing BOTH versions done by these two, Northern California corps, in their anniversary years. The last time two finalist corps played the same music in the same year was when Boston and Cadets played Malaguena in 2003. Before that, it was Crossmen and SCV with Blue Shades in 1999 Other notables: Bluecoats and Blue Devils - Johnny One Note - 1989 Madison and Blue Devils - Strawberry Soup - 1993 Bluecoats and Crossmen - Caravan -1990 This year will very likely be the highest combined placement of corps playing the same piece of music in the same year. Point is, it's been done before and we've gotten two interesting takes on the same music. Try not to whine too much! There's certainly enough material for each corps to play that doesn't overlap in a piece that is as long as "Triumph of Time"!
