N.E. Brigand
Two scores from the DCI show in Johnsonburg, PA tonight (7/29): 67.900 Erie Thunderbirds 66.900 Cincinnati Tradition
BigW
Huge number at Johnsonburg, especially as the season is shaking out at the end in Class A in terms of remaining Class A corps appearances.

BigW
Not much to discuss about it other than the season gets tighter with fewer scoring opportunities for every competitor. That might not be as large a negative as people perceive. It appears to be a mixed bag of nuts to me on both sides of the equation. Listening as we speak to 1994 Blue Knights- speaking of a mixed bag of nuts... now there's a discussion. ( Trittico BTW)
Fran Haring
So... I'm guessing White Sabers won't be ranked 11th for the rest of this season.

Not necessarily negative for the corps' performances, I suppose, but fewer shows, i.e., fewer attendees, is obviously a negative for DCA. Though if a show isn't selling, better to cancel it than to lose money.
BigW
It may well be that everything distills down to a very few big contests that will de facto attract everyone who wants to see a show like a magnet. The issue will be making sure everyone gets enough appearances in if things tighten down to the minimum. It could end up being an 'unfair advantage' for the corps who get the invites versus corps who do not. This has happened in the past, (Calling Jim Fawber!) and if it weren't for Red Carpet in the 70's and ICA in the 80's... a lot of up and comers wouldn't have had shows to go to. (Examples, Erie, Westshore for RCA, Early Empire for ICA...)
