ComeHomeShane 69 Report post Posted June 26 Now is the time of season when I can’t believe it’s nearly 4 weeks until San Antonio and seeing every corps together... If you 7th Place predictors are right, accept my applause in advance. BK wont have a show until Friday, they have a way of being sneaky out here in CA. I’ll still be satisfied with a single digit finish for bones.

I’ll still be satisfied with a single digit finish for bones. That's more realistic. Even more realistic is staying in Finals, 12-10 spot. I agree, based on the amateur video, that this year's show is a big step up for the Crossmen. But nearly every finalist corps makes a big step up each year just in order to stay where they are. Those who are regressing or stagnating, and a couple of big historical names are there, fall down or fall out. If the Crossmen make finals, they will have improved from last year, and I think that's all that can be asked. If the improvement can be felt, enjoyed, and learned from by the members, the goal has been met. If it's single digits, ecstasy rather than satisfaction should be the overriding emotion.
g00fyg00ber 225 Report post Posted June 29 (edited) Saw Bones in Muncie tonight. Wow. Such a great show. Hornline is smokin'. Really hope I get a chance to see them again this year. It may be buried in this thread somewhere, but can someone point me in the direction of their actual rep? Specifically the ballad. Hearing this live was alone worth the price of admission. ComeHomeShane 69 Report post Posted June 29 (edited) Crossmen alumni here, not bashing, just making conversation... who has has seen the corps live that can shed some light on why bones percussion score is so abysmal? If percussion were consistent with every other caption they would be neck and neck with blue stars and multiple points ahead of spirit. Yes, I can draw some conclusions from the caption scores, but without seeing the show live it’s not much more than speculation. Like i said, just making conversation. It’s tough to pick at details when all you’ve got is an old bootleg practice run. It’s still early, hopefully the staff can figure out some fixes to get percussion at least top 12 Edited June 29 by ComeHomeShane

mfrontz 2,341 Report post Posted July 7 Crossmen's return to the field tonight in Whitewater was marked by a big jump in GE and Visual, including a stunning 3rd place in Visual Analysis. Get it BONES!

Get it BONES! That 3rd Place was ahead of the Cavaliers. I can't wait to see them on Flo tonight. I missed the last time they were on Flo. This will be an important week for the corps to see if they can maintain their "unofficial" 9th place ranking. On Tuesday, they go head-to-head with the Mandarins for the first time this season On the 13th, they face Blue Knights for the first time Does anyone know how the starting order at the San Antonio show is derived?
