go2thomas
Did the seats used to come free with a Friends membership? I joined at the lowest level for the first time this year, solely because I wanted access to the Friends seats. (Though I do hope the donation helps the organization in some small way.) I emailed the office upfront to confirm that the right to purchase seats in the Friends block were guaranteed with a membership. They said they were, and I got my assignments a few days ago. I got my second choice of section, which was better than I thought I might get for a first-time membership. The reason I joined is because I haven't had luck getting seats in the sections I want for quite a few years. I used to be able to get good seats off DCP Marketplace, but those seemed to be fewer and more far between over the last 10 years or so. Maybe I'm just too much of a noob to know what I missed out on with the Friends program of the past, but I'm pretty happy with what I got. used to come with free seats, a parking pass, an option to purchase additional tickets, and a friends luncheon/breakfast. the last breakfast was 2019 and will probably gone for 2022. but they have money to have a session with all the corps drum majors in indy every year. Dpsouthern81
Never a fan of Friends of DCI because those seats sit empty for a majority of the time during prelims and semi finals. I’d pay to sit there to support those groups that only get to perform Thursday and Friday. Edited March 6, 2022 by Dpsouthern81
Jeff Ream
well my decision to leave Friends years ago seems wise
Terri Schehr
Talk about elitist and exclusionary. I can afford to go. But, there are a lot of people who can’t when you’re slapping a PSL on seats. Or you can go sit in the really ###### seats like the rabble you are. This is so hypocritical. I’m not going to say why because it would be close to being political commentary but you can easily read between the lines.

The way they evaded even sitting down for an interview with Tricia Nadolny…drum corps people have such short memories. 1

Terri Schehr
I guess the fuel thread was closed. I’ll just say it here. Diesel went up $.70 in the Chicago suburbs yesterday. Most of those vehicles used in drum corps are Diesel engines, right?

Diesel will probably hit the $5-$7 range nationwide before tour starts
