Guam airport is ok if you are actually visiting Guam.  When I was on Okinawa and we had to go to Hawaii (Oahu) to deal w/ higher headquarters, we generally would leave at 1330 local Okinawa time.  3 hours to Guam, then sit in terminal (no AC, a small coffee kiosk, and a duty free shop) for 5 hrs, then on to Hawaii via Air Mike (RIP) 7 hour flight.  We would land at 6am local, but on same ‘day’ we left Okinawa.   My anti-jet lag rule is wherever you are, that is what time it is.  No sleeping until 7pm.  Fortunately in Hawaii there are things to keep one occupied.

Never flew into Guam, but went there multiple times via ship. Once you got fighting the snakes on the pier, Guam was pretty cool lol.

Okinawa was our second home when I was stationed in Sasebo. We would always pull into White Beach. Kadena Air Base, getting into fights with the Marines at the Globe and Anchor club at Camp Foster, my one and only terrifying and frightening trip to Whisper Alley when i was a E1..............lots of memories in Okinawa. Lol.

Good old Air Mike. My last flight out was around midnight and plane doors had been open for a while. A/C was going full blast and there was a cloud hugging the ceiling of the passenger area. Then it started raining.. inside the plane. They couldn’t do anything until plane was loaded and doors were shut so… “could I have a magazine?”. Then hold it over your head.

Best part was landing (commercial) in HI and being in the middle of the tarmac. Loaded you up on trams to take you to the terminal. Reason was people were poking rods into the plane wheel wells looking for the #### Guam brown tree snakes.

Did a few MAC flights from Sicily. About 20 hours and lost track of number of stops.

Ugh. Philly is on my no list too.  I was changing planes there one time right when iPods were brand new.  I was an early adopter and the security people at the gate check were supposedly doing 'every third person randomly' as you boarded the planes.  I was a lucky winner so ok.  They looked that thing over, I explained it plays music.  She calls over a coworker. "oh one of those new apple things!"  He calls over some others cause he's excited about it.  Pretty soon we got 5 people from three gates trying to board planes over here oglling my iPod and the ticket people just checking people on with no security.

I was flying from Denver to DC via Philadelphia.  Jet pushes back.   Then, 2hr ground hold due to previous weather at Philly.  Engines off - no AC, 90 degrees.  Finally take off.   Land at Philadelphia-75 min to taxi to gate because of airplane traffic jam on ground.   We get to gate and it is 30 min to get someone to move the jetway to the aircraft.
Never.
Ever.
Again.

I had that happen in Denver. Sat on the bird forever because of lightning.

My absolute never ever again airport is Philadelphia.

My absolute never again is the airport in Mombosa Kenya. There was a dude crossing the runway with a herd of goats as planes were inbound lol. Not to mention at the time I was there, a radical group was trying to shoot down commercial airliners and military aircraft with RPGs.

We were only on the ground in Mombasa for around 17 hours. I was part of a five-man Raven team escorting a C-130, the crew and government personnel that were headed to Nairobi from Bahrain. So the five of us stayed all night guarding the plane. That's when I got to watch the goat herder move his goats across the runway as a jumbo commercial airliner is minutes from landing. Yea welcome to Kenya lol. No fencing or security around the perimeter of the airport.
