Does anyone with more knowledge on percussion than I know why they've been stagnating so much in that caption? Based off of what I saw of the Allentown streams, Crown appears overall cleaner (other than their new closer) which is why the VP scores make sense, but being behind Crown in VA content is intriguing to me considering how lost Crown's guard (and the overall corps) gets on the field due to some questionable uniform choices Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
manwhat Posted August 7, 2023 Share Posted August 7, 2023 as much as I love the greater competition for the activity as a whole, not sure where a lot of the judges are seeing the gaps being closed, especially at Allentown. the performance quality difference wasn't as great as when I saw everyone live in 2022 (maybe the king of the "watch BD live and you'll get it" years from what I remember), but it was still pretty tangible Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
lawdn Posted August 7, 2023 Share Posted August 7, 2023 BD tops Crown by 0.4 tonight and takes GE, VA, CG, and MA, Crown beats them in VP, Brass and Percussion, and had higher comp in VA. Doubtless BD already knew they are in a battle to the finish, and this will confirm it for anyone who didn't!
