Fortunately, it had only affected a small handful of members - until yesterday. At present, we have approximately 30 guys who have succumbed to the Texas plague. Symptoms are fairly mild and run their course in about 24 hours. Our medical team is monitoring the situation and we're taking all possible steps to care for the sick while keeping our healthy members safe and well. Sick members have been isolated from the rest of the corps, have their own sleeping and restroom facilities, and a designated care team. Those who are unaffected continue to rehearse, though on a modified schedule that will allow them ample time indoors to rest and stay strong. Our goal is to keep them well. We will reevaluate the situation later today before making a decision about tonight's performance. Thank you for your support. And please know that your sons are in good hands. We will get through this together. As the dad of one of those sick ones, I'm very appreciative of the staff to put the well-being of the boys FIRST! Thanks Cavaliers Staff! 8

GREENBLUE
Someone needs to burn some sage around this corps. I’m being serious. They can’t catch a break, it’s always something. 2

I know 2015 was a huge year for this. My son was a DM in 2019. I toured 10 days with them and followed that season very closely. I just don’t remember this. His rookie year, 2017, there were 8-10 that got sick in Hattiesburg, MS after San Antonio and before Atlanta. Repeating to state I’m not intending to be confrontational … are you sure it was 2019? I swore something happened in 2019. Maybe my years are all jumbled pre-covid, or it was a different corps. I'm sure you're right.
