Very poor in performance and execution. There's no passion in what they are doing. It's like they are going through the motions. Spirit of Atlanta is also in that 12-16 mix. Looking at the score sheets, Madison is behind everyone, especially in the Visual category. I think we're looking at another disappointing year. Blue Star is just licking their lips, looking at all the talent they will steal from Madison next year. My crystal ball has Blue Stars in 7th ahead of the Cavies. If Madison keeps on placing outside of the top 12 year after year, Madison will become a feeder corps for the top 12. Too many top 12 corps in the Madison area (Cavies, PR, and BS). dcikon2 Posted July 15, 2023 Share Posted July 15, 2023 I also don't understand the use of the prop. I have seen a prop similar to this used much better in high school marching bands. I do see improvement in the corps; however, I don't see Madison overtaking Crossmen, Pacific Crest, Troopers, Colts, and a couple others. What is their niche? What is their special take that they offer drum corps fans? In my mind, Madison Scouts used to be the brawny, broad-shouldered, powerful corps.
