Vanguard moved from Logan Square to Des Plaines. That was due to sponsorship changes from what I could tell. lol same reason the WESTshoremen were later located in Harrisburg which is the EAST shore of the Susquehanna. Des Plaines Vanguard was one of the most intimidating corps ever. We were scared shootless of them . Also, Phantom went from Rockford to Loves Park and back to Rockford. Spirit of Atlanta from Atlanta to Jacksonville AL back to Atlanta.

Southwind from Montgomery AL to Lexington KY to Mobile AL. There may have be some inactive years between moves.

My parents went to the Joliet, Illinois show in 1972 and when the fight started in concert in Des Plaines show, my Mom told my Dad that they were fighting and it was time to leave. 🤦♀️

That’s why we differentiate between Kentucky Southwind and Alabama Southwind. Kentucky Southwind was under the Madison umbrella until 2007.
