Morgoth Bauglir
According to the auditon info on Santa Clara's website, the snareline form the 05 season will be playing matched grip. The battery will also NOT be required to move to the bay area in late february, as they have done in the past few years. Any thoughts on how this will impact their standing as the best drumline? Evan
Haven't they used matched before, one year during the 90's?
Kekasse
Haven't they used matched before, one year during the 90's? They did in 1995
Morgoth Bauglir
Not the best year. With things going so well as of late, why change?
RegimentContra94
I don't really see a reason to play traditional, other than you like the way it looks. I'd say if any line can pull it off, SCV can.

MikeN
<shrug> Depends on the line - if they're as good as they've been in the past, then the grip won't matter. One advantage is that the snares/toms can do the same visuals. Mike
