ShutUpAndPlayYerGuitar
15. "The Cadets take all the X-men's best players" THAT is a myth that makes my blood boil.... <**>
84BDsop
# whatever....Star of Indiana had the best corps money could buy.... Now....Bill Cook DID say that (and has always regretted it), but the fact is, the 85 corps still had to go out their and perform...they EARNED their 10th place spot the first year out. 'Nother Star myth....that Cook raided other corps for staff and players. It's been reported elsewhere that much of the staff (including DeLucia) had already left the corps they were with in 84...and a high percentage of the members were corps rookies...plus a couple of smaller corps had folded and their members went to Star. No raiding took place.
Matt_S
There was a judges conspiracy against the Madison Scouts, 1977-2002! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Heh, that's definitely a top-ten myth. It goes right up there with the myth of "The only reason the Scouts missed finals in 2002 was because DCI hates Scott Stewart"
John Schmitt
I don't know about where everybody else marched, but Bob Barker died at least once every year when I marched. We tried to switch it up one year and say "Walter Mattheau died," but then he died right afterwards and we felt bad.
