Jeff Ream
it was in USA Today about how the Rose Bowl will only cave so far to tv. http://www.usatoday.com/sports/college/foo...l-history_x.htm

bishtom
this is somewhat off topic...but at the completion of last nights Orange Bowl....several armed uniformed officers surrounded the coaches. After the Rose Bowl...I did not notice any. Is there a reason for that?
oldbandguy
Yes, a great game. Texas now has the longest undefeated streak...until Ohio State cleans their clock next year.

Musical_Spinner
I was suddenly reminded why not to join a college colorguard.....or at least when USC took the field I was reminded (Met the woman who does UTs guard, wasn't bad, I guess). (First The Spurs win now UT? Texas is on fire (minus the choking Cowboys and that other football team) Edited January 5, 2006 by Musical_Spinner
iluvdc
You want to talk weird, did you see that they grabbed themselves at one point during "Beat It"!!! lol...my mom was fairly appalled! Just be glad it wasn't Stanford!!!! I can't believe I haven't read one nasty post about "this isn't a band forum." Ohhh..... I guess I did it first. oopps ^0^
MHSmirage
There are some good college guards that are less 'traditional'.... Oklahoma Univ., Univ. of Miami, and others. Again, both bands have their 'traditions' and therefore don't stray to the more modern guard/dance style.
Carl306
A little off topic:WHAT A GREAT GAME! Agreed And if you think that was a great one, then what would you call the FSU game last night???? FSU coming inches away (if only the goal post was wider) from winning that one...
