corps_forever07
JJ was right...that's all I meant, and I'm not quite sure I understand you, Hrothgar.
bawker
and I'm not quite sure I understand you, Hrothgar. Hrothgar's quote is what a staff member of the 1989 Phantom Regiment yelled right before the last big push in "New World Symphony". If you listen to the CD, it's very clear during the moments when the baritones play backfield. It was a not-so-subtle jab towards the green shirts by someone who felt PR was being jobbed. Hey, at least he didn't give anyone the finger ( that was PR 1992)! :P
MiamiSun76
In the '70s I got to hear the guys who marched in the 1950s b-word about what DC became. Today I hear it from both past and current members...... 20 years from now ought to be interesting.... I believe it's a show called "Composer's Datebook" on NPR/Sirius that ends with the quote: "Remember, all music was once new"

Triple Forte
Always does. There are those who insist that if you are against one change you must be against all changes. And then they call us narrow minded. WOW.....no one could have said it better........... My List: Don't want to hear amplified voices Don't really want to see amps on the field Don't want to hear to many corps playing wind ensemble influenced pieces Don't want to hear drum speak........blah.... and finally Don't want to lose my voice in quarter finals when cheering for Madison when they take the field.......
