CourtOfHonorMember
This is a very sad time for drum corps. Wow, I hope everything works out for Madison Scouts, Phantom, and Capital.
90'sMelloguy
Look, those years of Madison were sick and it is ridiculous to compare any corps to that. 95, 96 were a collection of extreme tallent, which no one has seen since. What do we remember from those years? The lead sopranos who were freaks! No one has a lead section like that ANY since then. BD 97 did...IMO it was better than scouts leads from 95 or 96. I do agree with the rest of your statement though. Scouts will be fine. People will want to march there becuase they want to be Scouts. Staff will want to go there because they want a chance to work with the level of talent that the scouts have. They will be fine.
zmalsom
This is a very sad time for drum corps. Wow, I hope everything works out for Madison Scouts, Phantom, and Capital. What's wrong with Phantom? The instructional staff is totally intact and no doubt they'll be pulling in more talent this year than they ever have. Plus, Rick is now at the helm, and he's a great guy with a strong dedication to drum corps and to Phantom.
shortn'stern
Well, this is usually the time of year when the #### hits the fan with drum corps. The time between mid-August through mid-October is when all the question marks about various corps situations flutter through the air. Altough this is a really heavy situation, it's better that it happened now than January on up towards the summer. Only time and fate will reveal the aftermath of this saga. As it looks now, the task, in regards to damage control, for the Scouts is going to be huge. However, the Madison Scouts are a proud corps; they will prevail over this.
