Why not move it to Georgia Tech's Grant Field? Probably because McEachern already knows how to run a big show (they run the BOA show). It's also just a little over a month from football season. Who knows if DCI contacted GT, but if they did, GT might have declined over concern about the field being used so heavily right before football season. It is used primarily for football, soccer, marching band exhibitions, graduation ceremonies and other events. Renovations to the stadium took place between 2011 and 2013. The renovations included a new luxury press box with a press area and private viewing areas. A new hall of fame and weight trading building was built overlooking the stadium.
