How many from Penn & Deleware, I wonder? I recall that Phantom had no members from Rockford in 06, so success these days does not depend on a local memebership base, at least. I also remember in the old days (like late 1970s - early 1980s) that many corps restricted membership from too far outside the local area so the unit would not completely fall apart each fall.

OK - so lets say you have 25 corps that have gone to Bb in last what, 8 years, times avg 60 G bugles per corps means there are about 1500 G bugles out there somewhere. Have they been melted down, or is there a 'boneyard' somewhere? Just curious.

I predict time will tell. The thing w/ Bluecoats to keep in mind, is that a few years back Glassmen and BAC were touted as next first champs. We will see if Bluuuuue can stay at the level they are at. It apparently takes a bunch of effort to remain there - look at Cadets in 06, and SCV 04-05-06. Best of luck to Bluuuue. But what I am waiting for Blue Stars vs Troopers for the title.

I have heard rumor (photo anyone?) that Kilties had a two-tymp setup that some real B@#### dude used to carry. Supposedly took 2 guys to put in on him. Ans, talking about heavy drum rigs - those North tenors BD carried in 76 (& part of 86) had to be heavy too

Like, 30 years ago there used to be some films (you see a bit of one of them on color guard manual of arms on the Brass Roots tape). McCormicks sold them (maybe others too).

JCS - I would say Argonne Rebels in early 70's - absolutely amazing what they could do w/ v/r G bugles.
