  1. Then there was the Argonaut's '85 guard uni which was compared to Fruit Stripe gum.
  2. Phantom Regiment- Symphonie Fantastique PLEASE!!!
  3. "Hot For Teacher" HAS to be in the show! Best version I've heard. Almost better than the original!
  4. Being a CaliTexan, the closest thing to a drill team in CA would be the letter girls (if they're still used). Drill teams are HUGE in TX. In fact, we're supposed to implement our school's drill team into our show this year, but we're now at the end of week 2 and still no drill team to be found.
  5. 1983 Sky Ryders- During their CA tour, they closed with the theme from E.T and Neil Diamond's "Heartlight". We (Valley Fever) beat them 2 out of 3 shows during that tour. The next time we see them, the E.T. theme has been cut and is replaced with almost half of their 1982 show. They end up making finals, we ended up in 18th.
  6. That wasn't me that red marked you, Mike. I took care of it.
  7. Was this already added... "Blue Coats"? If not, it needs to be.
  8. Actually, I passed on a ToC show about 30 minutes away from me (Houston) and didn't go to any show at all because of the cost. When the cost for a ToC show is only $5-$15 less than a regional, it's beyond ridiculous!
  9. Yeah, well. I was dating a girl in VF at the time so...
  10. 1984-86, 1988 Suncoast Sound 1983-85 Cadets 1981-89, 2009 SCV 1979 Spirit of Atlanta 1981-85 Madison 1982-84, 1986 BD Is that too many?
  11. As was just stated, the Marines use them (does the Navy D&B Corps?). In DCA the Renegades and a couple other corps still use them.
  12. Well, The Cadets 30th anniversary of their 1st win is next year but they've already re-done RPH and Bernstein's Mass. Maybe SVC... SCV will play Fanfare and Allegro, and Young Person's Guide (although that's been re-done as well) to celebrate the 40th of their 1st win?
  13. Sorry. Until it gets fixed on the field, I'll keep using it. The rest of your list...
  14. As long as it's not the disco version.
  15. But the post I was responding to did. Blame Apathy for bringing them up. Not me.
  16. For the record, I hold no allegiance to any corps out there since the corps I marched with either folded or are in DCA. OK... You guarantee? Well, can I have my money back? To put it as bluntly as you did, yeah... I would have been "#####ing" about their show no matter what placement they took. I didn't like it. It's as simple as that. (and before the "you're putting down the kids" troupe chime in, I don't deny their talent and I NEVER have). As i said in another thread, I sat in a over-flowing theater that was filled with HS kids Thursday night and I got more agitated the more I listened. It felt like the kind of music you'd play to a prisoner to antagonize them. But that's MY opinion. Then again, I sat in a dead silent packed theater after BD completed their show. DEAD silent! So maybe it isn't just me. I also didn't care for BK's show. Would I have been happy if Crown won? Yes. I loved their show. I also would have been happy to see Phantom, Cadets or SCV win as well. Hell... I would have had no problem if Surf won! So put away your wide paint brush and sit back and relax.
  17. And this just backs up what I just posted except your theater got a better reaction... by 2-3 people.
  18. Hate to say it, but it wasn't that rosy everywhere. The theater my wife and I went to was packed. So packed that kids were sitting on the floor and in the aisles. They easily made up 80% of the audience. They cheered for ALL the shows but especially their favorites... Madison, Cavies (very loud), Phantom, SCV, Spirit, and Crown but, since they were the home state favorite, Crossmen got the loudest ovation. Like I said, they cheered for every show save one. Throughout the evening, every time BD was announced, the kids all cheered. That is, until they saw the show. After the show was over... the theater was DEAD silent! You could have heard a pin drop. Now what does that say? A theater, packed to over flowing with HS kids... the apparent target audience... brought to complete silence. I think BD may have tapped into something that parents and teachers can use! Red mark me if you will, but my wife and I heard what we heard. Or should I say, didn't hear.
  19. Actually, not true. Lincoln didn't have a secretary named Kennedy.
  20. Since the only time they've been out west was for finals in '07, Crown and Bluecoats plus Crossmen (before anyone chimes in... yes I know they visited CA before '07. I was referring to CC and Bluecoats ), Blue Stars or Spirit.
  21. In the dictionary next to the word "corpsgasm" it says : See Nessun Dorma as performed by 2012 Phantom Regiment
