http://www.drumcorpsplanet.com/forums/index.php?/forum/5-dci-all-corps-show-amp-event-reviews/ Some who have written reviews have stopped because whether they wrote a review from watching live or a review fro Flo, etc, at come point it almost always gets around to the usual attacks on the poster for not knowing what they are talking about. Most of the time because they don't see it the same way at the home team mark, or it becomes an attack on the sheets and the judges, or the typical Maude Flanders form the Simpson's, "Won't someone please think of the children" response because the review (whether here or the show night threads) are brutally honest. This then leads to another round of what are your qualifications to post this review. Lather, rinse, repeat. Same as the prediction threads most of the time. There are often good and thoughtful reviews of shows and corps performances that are greatly appreciated by those not able to attend shows; but they are not always the norm, in my opinion. As always, just me thinking out loud.

Naw, i was thinking the Ashford, OR exhibition show.

Just as teeny and tiny as that show up in your neck of the woods a while back?

I would think that it might not matter how much one would spend, if the judging community is less than likely to reward the outcome. When was the last time it was attempted and how long has it been since? I doubt anyone will take the risk for the perceived lack of reward in a judged contest

Which begs the question for all of those type shows. Who pays for full panels when they are supposed to go into practice next season. Find the money or lose the show? Lose the show and corps lose a potential payday as they make their way across the country? Just thinking (typing) out loud. My internal monologues often become external diatribes

Thinking of taking a spot offer.

If your health concerns required a Dr's care, you should be consulting that Dr, not anyone here. You say YOU feel you'd be ready. Again, if your were under a Dr's care, I'd start there and let your physician say you'd be ready. -
Yeah, the Androgynous Cowboy Stripper with a maternity bib and Capt'n Crunch epaulets look is no more. Could I get an Amen!!

Troopers 2018: The New Road West

Ooooooooooookay, as a Trooper mark, I'll bite. Can you share what shocked you in a very good way? And, please say no tarps to play a big game of Twister on a football field. -
It is good to see that they stayed with the "Olive Garden server tie of the month" theme of the last few years, though.

Nice! $1 for the obscure Donald Sutherland Kelly's Heroes reference.

It was the back side of one of the Troopers Twister on a football field tarps from last year.

Inmates have consensual sex. All the time. While not illegal, it is mostly likely against whatever rules or regulations govern where they are housed. Not unlike Hopkins, it often becomes a crime when force, threat or intimidation is used to facilitate the actions. Molesters molest each other more often than you'd think in a correctional setting.

Has this ever happened in DCI history?
Daave replied to wolfgang's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
Because nearly every time it is brought up, that is exactly what happens. It's DCP and it's what we do. -
The future of the Cadets

Yeah, where'd he go and what came of the King issue? -
With regard to the vehicle and the laptop and whatever other physical property he may still have, I would imagine he could argue that since he hadn't been fired until yesterday, he didn't not see an issue there. I understand the publicity, the way it looks, the situation and everything else discussed... but, is that not par for the course for him? Has he not, for a period of time, shown that he does not have that filter or care to even acknowledge that that filter exists, let alone care what others think? He's a yam bag. Nothing that may come out in the future will surprise me. Karma, Earl
