  1. What alarms me is WGI's statement that Diamante refused to participate in the investigation.
  2. I do not know exact $$$$ but I believe the breakdown is based on the previous year finals placement, 1st get top amount, 2nd gets a little less, 3rd and 4th are next level, then 5-8 and 9-16 are the next couple of steps down in performance fees. 17 and below is the lowest. Only World Class corps receive this, the Open Class groups have their own pay based on the finish at the previous years championship.
  3. WGI looked into this and anyone who is more than 6 feet off the ground MUST have some form of fall protection per OSHA guidelines!
  4. Also Performing Members (you can call them actors and musicians) and Volunteers fall under OSHA standards
  5. In 3rd Place with a 98.975 Blue Devils and in 1st Place the 2023 DCI Co-Champions with a 99.000 _______&________!
  6. Him visiting corps housing sites (daughter on or not on staff)is the issue as one blog stated he visited with her group
  7. Knowing both GE judges, One has a visual background and the other is a percussion /music judge. That alone can make a difference in their GE scores. I believe that is how DCI GE judges are assigned, one is GE Visual and one is GE Music
  8. If your organization has members under age 18, all adults who 'may" have unsupervised one on one contact with a member or members must be checked. This could be around the food truck, loading unloading equipment, or even a bathroom or shower area. Drivers and volunteers fall under the required background check policy.
  9. And a little less narration. It just seems to break the continuity and momentum in the show too frequently.
  10. I would say after the early season looks, the one 1 question is Cadets in 6th I think 10th is more realistic as their show is relatively clean and safe but lacks the challenging demand. IDK if their show can evolve and bring more out of their performers.
  11. When 5 out of 7 judges give the same 7.1 6.8 score for SCV. How can you not say that a pre judged number was NOT decided beforehand??
  12. https://www.wgi.org/wgi-mourns-the-passing-of-mickey-kelly/
  13. I thought that the number was raised to 60 just before covid hit. May have just been conversations about that but no official vote.
  14. Sadly, this was being rumored around at WGI Championships. There was talk that their April CG tryout camp was cancelled.
  15. The bottom line is Denise failed her own Foundation. If she was such a "great fundraiser", she would have had D and O insurance to protect herself and the Bonfig Foundation. Her "friends" then would not have to be begging for money!
  16. If anything this group should be returning donations to the donors who were misled on how their donations were being used instead of asking for donations for Legal Bills!
  17. From what I have heard the Ma. AG's office is investigating the organization now that the evidence came public from the civil decision. Denise could easliy be charged with all 3 of the reasons!
  18. The corps could then form the IMBA (Independent Marching Band Association)
  19. Last year many groups put quality products on the field with a 2-3 week camp!
  20. Sadly SCV, a few years back, had a previous Director that had to be pulled of the road during tour and "resigned" after the season ended.
  21. And this is not the 1st SCV director to have issues with performing members.
  22. WGI is mandating training for ALL their employees, judges, show staff, and volunteers. I know a few DCI staff that DEFINETLY need training just from observing their behavior at shows! Corp members may be more comfortable if reporting was to someone outside of the corps inner circle. These "other DCI staff" people need to be trained on how to handle the issues if and when informed.
  23. The same zero tolerance policy needs to be in place at the DCI office and done for all DCI judges, show staff, co-ordinators and volunteers!
