  1. I think BAC has a pretty wicked shirt this year, pun heavily intended
  2. I think it'd be cool if the corps ended up making the symbol of man at the end but I realized just a couple weeks ago that the guard does that before they run to the circle stage thing
  3. I basically say it's marching band on steroids without the woodwinds. I say that every time with the biggest smile on my face.
  4. That 3-4-5 slot could look completely different next Saturday. I'm already excited. Bring it on
  5. Is it a dumb statement to state that Cavaliers COULD medal this year? I can't believe I predicted them at 6th before the season started. I also didn't think they'd be this close to the defending champs at this point in the season. Less than a point away from a medal? I'll take it (I'd rather take that medal though)
  6. I was going to say the exact same thing. You beat me to it! :)
  7. This may be a little too early in the game to ask, but will they be at Beech Grove for finals week?
  8. Can someone explain to me why a .013 margin is possible? And corps finishing with .x38 and .x88?
  9. I've been enjoying reading these posts since I live in the Indianapolis area myself. Having Finals in Indy is nice for me and many others since it's only about a 30 minute drive from my home. I will agree with some of you - Indy can be boring. Very boring. It's not uncommon to drive down Meridian St at about 11:30 on a Friday night and have the city be a ghost town. I mean, DCI does have SoundSport and Drumline Battle on Finals day but IMHO, I don't think that's enough. And the city itself - well - living in Indy my whole life and going to countless Colts games, there's a little bit of city and then there's just... nothing. I hope DCI doesn't move elsewhere, and I've read that LOS was designed with more of the marching arts in mind, whether that be BOA, ISSMA, or DCI. It's not too bad of a town to visit, cut us some slack! ;)
  10. I'm hoping that the Aussie-less Cavaliers are just something that will stay within this year. The aussies are such an iconic look for them - it'd be a shame to see them without them in the next few years.
  11. I just watched a video of the run from Dekalb. The closer is different. They also added another voiceover right before the ballad...
  12. I saw them at the premiere and the standstill in Muncie. The dude section was very comical of course and it's something I think only the Cavaliers can get away with
  13. I was wondering the same thing. My guess had to be tenor trombones (silver) and bass trombones (gold) but I have no idea. Just a thought
  14. Yeah that's what I'd use it as, never meant to disrespect anyone
  15. I thought a lot of people for short said Cavies instead of Cavaliers as a nickname. He said they don't like it
  16. I talked to a friend (who's not in drum corps but has heard this from someone) that Cavaliers members don't like being called "Cavies." Is that true?
  17. This might've been mentioned in a previous thread or even this one, but could Crown's show be based off of the infamous saying of "it is what it is?" Just a wild thought that crossed my mind
  18. I was sitting about two rows behind probably the same two people in 239. I thought the same thing. Well said.
  19. I felt the same thing. I'm starting to wonder if marching all baritones and no euphoniums has something to do with it? Not sure. They are capable of producing some power, the impact after the triple tonguing section was pretty powerful from a volume standpoint.
  20. The run tonight looked totally different than that of Tuesday's. Tonight was much more of a relaxed run through rather, since they weren't rushed into the performance. I absolutely loved the closer. The spinning quads and electric tuba seemed to be a hit with the crowd.
