Those are sets you don't have to spend time on, effectively decreased your performance time. Simply lack of demand. If judging were honest, the Devs top box would have maxed out last week.

I saw a pic a few years ago of the Devs debriefing after a show, showing the video on the side of the truck. So, yes, I think that this happens. If not, it totally should.

I'll bite: Environmental demand -> trying to play together at large spreads. Or weird listening challenges, like playing backfield at the corner an being in time with the pit. Or playing with a huge stage separating the corps. Movt vocab -> Different marching techniques. slow. fast. Jazz running down stairs in time. As opposed to scatter set drill with everyone doing their own thing. Style vocab -> Portraying different emotions or techniques? Could be a guard thing. These and similar phrases appear on judges sheets/tapes throughout the activity.

I've been avoiding much of this show until I can see it live. I wonder what everyone thinks about the prop movement? When I saw a few pics, I thought that they could fall into the Cadet's 2013 trap and get hammered in viz all year. Do you think that will happen?

Videos don't compare with live drum corps, but it seems especially so with Bloo's soundscape wizardry. In the age of youtube, I think this is a good thing of the activity re: ticket sales.
