The licencing people told DCI that they can not use it. They said NO. So it will not be on the DVD/BR. sucks eh?

Just move finals to Southern California. It doesn't rain in August there. Ever. Problem solved.

Actually the licencing people took the hoop away. Madison did everything right. They asked all the right people, jumped though all the right hoops. Then they were told 'NO you can't use it'. Madison/DCI were denied the rights.

Thank you. I'm not at all trying to be negative. Just warning. I got my hopes up with Atlanta... In fact, right after they edited that show is when I contacted DCI to ask about the licencing status and DCI replied that they received a "definite NO" So like I said, Enjoy it while you can.

Enjoy it while you can. The Atlanta Regional had ESoM on it for a while only to be taken down and edited the same day.

Great first step! Of course being able to edit play lists is desirable. Video play lists is the ultimate dream. Also it sure would be great to have a slightly higher kbps. It sounds like 128 or less right now. Typically the audio from the videos of the same show sound better.

If the Licencing gets cleared after the discs are shipped I would be satisfied with a high quality VPD (video performance download) of the Scouts for those of us who preordered in good faith we would get a complete product.

I hear ya bro. I actually planned to upgrade my subscription to +blu when I get my paycheck this Friday. This is giving me pause though. As long as they can assure us that we will get a disk with ESoM on it whenever the legal stuff gets taken care of, I will gladly fork over the bucks. I will try and contact DCI and see what they say....

Too funny. I just signed in to make this exact thread! YES. The DVD is the big question. Week after week passes with no change. I don't see any reason to believe it will get sorted just in time for the DVD authoring. This is heart breaking! Madison has my favorite show this year and ESoM is my favorite moment of that show. What the heck happens if the legal stuff goes through AFTER the DVDs are shipped? Will they send us another copy?

I think it has to do with location more than any other factor. Has anybody been to a show within the last few years that had great crowd response? Where was it? I bet the crowds' enthusiasm at that show is comparable from year to year. I use to attend southern California shows. Those shows consisted of a half dozen funky little corps and two to three big boys (Devils,SCV) There always seemed to have an atmosphere of fun and engagement with what was happening on the field. By contrast, I moved to San Antonio a couple years ago and the crowd response for the Southwestern Championship has been bland by comparison. HOW CAN THIS BE?? There is a much higher volume of AMAZING shows on display in San Antonio... IT'S THE LOCATION Californians are fun and outgoing. Texans are... boring? -

Jeff, Just wanted to pop in and say that the Corps at the Crest show is the best quality VOD I've seen. Thanks for the extra effort!

Woot! So happy to see the scouts already mixing it up with the 'special' corps. Congrats fellas!!

So far I've just seen X-men and Madison. Love Crossmen's musical selection. Putting out some real sound... and with screamers! Looks like a great classic drum corps show. Madison... Wowzers! What a great show! Sounds like a much stronger horn line compared to last year. I have no idea how a show like this will score when all is said and done, but I have a feeling this will be my favorite of the year.

Back in your day you didn't pay the better part of 100 bucks for a sluggish service. bmt2116 is right. it's not like it was new information sprung on them at the last minute. they knew last Saturday's vods were to be made available today. Did they just start working on that this morning? if so, why? Did they not expect that all their customers that paid $80-$180 would be anxious to see the shows for the first time this year? It's bad costumer service. And we have a right to expect better from a high dollar product.

Any other impressions? Should I drop 10 bucks for a subscription?
