SkyRaider
We're leaving my house in about 20 minutes, and will get from my house to the stadium in 20 minutes. I took the day off and watched Phantom quite a bit (about 7 minutes from my house, if all the lights are red). They got here yesterday, and I think they have cleaned up a lot of stuff. Their run-through 45 minutes ago was pretty good, but it's the first drum corps I've seen live in a couple of years. With the lack of local promotion this show has had (blame DCI, not Lubbock or Texas Tech), I'll be surprised if there are 2,500 people there, but I hope I'm wrong. Looks like we have some rain coming our way, but I would expect a short shower, then a pleasant evening. The field is that artificial turf, so that shouldn't be a problem. I'll try to post a report after the show.

Might rip out his seat and throw it on the field. :P
Tony L.
What the hey, I'll post some predictions: 92.900 Cavaliers 92.200 Phantom Regiment 92.100 Carolina Crown 88.500 Boston Crusaders 85.200 Colts 81.600 Spirit from JSU 81.400 Blue Stars 80.750 Madison Scouts 78.800 Pacific Crest 78.600 Southwind 71.900 Pioneer I get the feeling that things might just tighten up a bit in order to create some drama going into the regionals this weekend. Tonight will be a tease of possible shifts in the standings, then there will be shifts in the standings at the regionals, but everything will fall right back into place during Finals week. Things always have a way of reaching predictable finishes in DCI. I fear this year will be no different. Although I hope that I am very wrong in this assessment! wesleyrp
Why would no one want to drive to the city that has the best University in the World??? TEXAS TECH BABY!!!!!!! GO RAIDERS!!!!!! If the locals had their way they'd probably choose Boston or Colts to win tonight because they are Red and Black just like the school colors!!! It's a good thing that no corps goes into Jones stadium wearing Maroon or Orange, or they might not be admitted since that is the A&M Corn Choppers and UT Cows colors!!! Back to reality: I really think that this will be a great show and I hope it is well attended, since this is a perfect venue for drum corps. My predictions: 1. Cavies 93.250 2. Crown- 92.500 3. Phantom- 91.750 4. Boston- 87.850 5. Colts- 84.225 6. Blue Stars- 81.750 7. Spirit- 81.450 8. Madison- 81.000 9. Pacific Crest 78.675 10. Southwind- 76.250 11. Pioneer- 73.450 Have fun in Lubbock to anyone going, if you have time tommorrow (it'll be late tonight and the place will be closed), go down Broadway from campus about half a mile and look to the right to find a restaraunt called Gardski's. It is the bomb and has great Chicken Fried Steak!!!! Wes Perkins BK '97 '98 TTU Grad '00 O'Connor HS Asst. Band Dir.
