Perhaps they will announce right before/after the Countdown. Since they're being featured in it, surely it won't take long for someone to figure out what song they're playing. It would make sense to announce it sometime around then.

But I would really like them to announce it a lot sooner.

As a side note, not long ago, JD Shaw posted on his facebook these words:

"J.D. Shaw is Rachmaninoff, Corigliano, Lutoslawski, Barnes, Goodman, and Wilby."

I would love if this actually meant something.

It does. Those are the composers of the music for the show

My guess is that the announcement of show music is simply pending all official signatures on all legal documents granting rights to use the music as necessary. After last year's frustrating challenge with permissions, I'm sure they're not going to move forward with any music without complete assurance that there will be no similar challenges again.

Although corps management probably gets a chuckle out of all the crazy anticipation, theories and wild guesses that are generated by the public not knowing.

That would be nice. It's one thing to hear complaints of anticipation regarding show much announcement. It's another thing to hear complaints because the DCI Champion could not secure rights to music they performed and their show is cut/edited. Glad that Phantom is probably dotting their I's and crossing their T's (like everyone else); hopefully in the future their rights issues can be ironed out so all of us can enjoy their uncut show on DVD and Fan Network.
