The fans may eat it up due to the history there, I make no claim regarding that, but I think an all-black look will damage the product on the field. I dunno, white does look fantastic when you can pull it off, but at the same time phantom just looked like a bunch of badasses in 96. Though I'm fully aware of the fact that placement is due mostly to talent and the product on the field, I just wanted to point out the fact that the black uniform years of Phantom came with only one top 3 placement (1996, of course). Aside from that, they placed 5th in 1995, 4th in 1997, and 8th in 1998 and 1999. If they do black, I certainly hope there is white or silver or something thrown in there to help highlight the field. 1995 comes to mind with the silver sash, though I'd like something even more obvious than that. I'll back off of that word and say rather that I think it will have the opposite effect that most supporters think, that their presence on the field will be diminished, rather than enhanced, by switching from all-white to all-black.
