BD Boring show or not, I do NOT see BD placing lower than 5th...not the way they turn it on later in the season. 4th at the lowest is my guess. That's always my take on BD... excellent in every term except for the overall impressions and emotions. The corp is freaking clean comparing to Bluecoats (well, SCV's visual program is..... well.) Wonder whether SCV could hold on to the lead ahead of Bloooo.. IMHO, BD's brass was incredibly dirty compared to their usual, but with the lack of the full judging panel, that won't affect their score much... I also thought SCV was much cleaner visually than BD. After that they played Happy Days in a box form the whole song. Then started doing typical BD follow the leader drill. More music this year. Not just sound effects and Power Chords. wesleyrp Posted June 28, 2009 Share Posted June 28, 2009 Fun show tonight.... i have these thoughts overall: 1) SCV is the bet playing corps this year-Vis Design will keep them from winning title??? 2) BD- I may be the only one here, but I liked it.... Chairs could've been used less, but I really dig them.. 3) Bluecoats can play, drum, spin and march very well, but the show vehicle is just not there to move up this year imho... 4) BK has got a beast of a show... it's got a long way to go to be clean, and if that mountain can be topped, watch out!! 5) Troopers are in the hunt for finals?? Solid show.... 6) Mandarins are my most improved corps for the past two seasons... 7) BDB should definitely go to Indy, they could win it all, and SCV Cadets were great also... 8) This is setting up to be a fun season, how much can be tweaked, cleaned? I play the baritone good Posted June 28, 2009 Share Posted June 28, 2009 (edited) Come on, SCV is not going to win this show. They were good, but they got Blue Devil'd. BD's show was boring and stupid (chairs?), but performed at a typical BD level (ok, maybe not in brass). The good thing though is that SCV also Blue Devil'd the Bluecoats.
