Didn't Carolina Crown start as a corps with Ludwigs about the same color?

I can't find any pictures to help my memory.

We did start out with Ludwigs as they were constructed in Monroe NC about 25 miles east of Charlotte. 90 the drums were white, 91 the laminate was ripped off and painted teal, and 92 we got a new set of Ludwigs that were a walnut color very similar to these.

Bit disappointed not to see the gold to match the horns.

Thinking that Ludwig messed up big time not changing with technology. Crown could have been their flagship corps. Ludwig used to be the best marching percussion manufacturer.

I took the liberty to photoshop the hardware a brass/gold colour.

I think it would look VERY nice on the field. Basses and tenors with brass/gold hardware as well. Ooooooooooooh yeah!

Not a drum guy, but that would look SWEET with the color scheme this year. Just very pleasing to the eye. Wonder if it's feasible by season's end? :satisfied:
