euphguy
The only corps that has surprised me (in a good way) this season is the BLUE STARS!!! I couldn't make it past the 2:30 mark on the DCI Fan Network! WOW!!!! MELLOS
sdstar
I couldn't make it past the 2:30 mark on the DCI Fan Network! WOW!!!! MELLOS If you ever manage to make it to the closer, there's some pretty tasty 16th note runs by the mellos (starting about, say, 10:30). They sound better in person. I also get a smile inside when I hear the 16th note phrases Frank gave the tubas here and there. Honk. The thing that has surprised me is just how many flat-out entertaining shows are being presented this year. It's a great summer for drum corps fans! kansasDC
I have seen my son's music for part IV and there are actually a few runs that are written as 64th notes at 144 .
2000Cadet
Blue Stars' ballad is absolutely beautiful to listen to. I just wish that last chord before they turn backfield is just horns and no cymbals so the chord can ring out.

DcFr3aK
Boooooooo... you just wish you could play 64th notes. Jonathan You could write any number of bars above the notes...1/8...1/16....1/64....they're all basically the same depending on tempo! 1/64 could actually be slower than an 1/8 note...
