theCHEZman
Phantom, BlueCoats and Cadets must have some rockin percussion lines, look at those scores a week before nationals! Cadets have a sweet brass line this year, clean tonguing, man they are crisp.
geluf
Bluecoast STILL aren't getting the credit they deserve for that brass book. Yeesh.
supersop
well well well...look what happened! A two judge averaged score of 17.95. she who shall not be named did her typical 0.5 below the last time they were judged (West Chester, PA show). corps typically improve 0.2-0.3 per show. that means she's keeping them down nearly 0.75 from one show to the next. GET RID OF HER, DCI!!! Rennicks, percussion staff, drum line, and front ensemble...ROCK ON! She does have them clumped in with BK and Madison closely ... she had them in the proper ordinal .. but .5 lower than the other judge when most of their numbers were pretty close for everyone else sans BAC. Yeesh. no they are getting a bit too much credit for that easy book, don't confuse entertainment with difficulty.

GET RID OF HER, DCI!!! Rennicks, percussion staff, drum line, and front ensemble...ROCK ON! If they need to improve .1 or .2 per show, then we don't need judges. Just increase their score by a certain amount each show. We can program a computer to do that.
BRASSO
She does have them clumped in with BK and Madison closely ... she had them in the proper ordinal .. but .5 lower than the other judge when most of their numbers were pretty close for everyone else sans BAC. Marie Czapinski and Curtis Constanza ( GE Visual ) were clearly not on the same page tonite on what they thought of the Boston Crusaders performance in Allentown. wvu80
And when he misses a good shot, you'll be #####ing about that too. I only have one thing to say about that; TELEPHOTO LENS! Seriously, get OUT of the picture, don't BECOME part of the picture. I go to shows to watch drum corps drum, not to watch photographers take pictures. +++ Seriously, I feel bad for even INFERRING that was Cadets staff. They are THE BEST, and I really should have known better.

Czapinski 8.60 8.50 17.10 Costanza 8.90 8.90 17.80 Final Average = 17.45 They were clearly in Total disagreement. Czapinski boxed herself in when she gave Madison an 8.7 and 8.9 .... or she's the one who is right and thinks Madison is .5 better than BAC and .1 below Phantom (while leaving a spread of 0.8 between PR and SCV). I'm sure this fine lady will be on the finals panel in some capacity or another ... so there it is.
wvu80
If the two judges agreed, would the same people be complaining that there was "DCI politics" or "slotting?" Isn't it a healthy thing that judges disagree with one another?

Agreed, for the most part. (though there are cases where its pretty obvious a corps has gotten dumped by a particular judge)
