Lance
This can go for an extended section of slower paced music anywhere in a show. My top 3: 1) SCV's ballad, "The Eternal Knot"...glorious. A runaway winner for me this year. 2) Bluecoats intro "Creep" 3) Phantom's treatment of "East of Eden" by Lee Holdridge.

fsubone
Lance, my list looks the exact same as yours, except I'd switch 2 and 3 around. 1.) SCV- The Eternal Knot could be the next Adagio for Strings for SCV 2.) Phantom Regiment's "East of Eden", think it's their opener, but I'm counting it. 3.) Bluecoats "Creep" been wanting to see Radiohead on the field, and it doesn't get better than this. Honorable mention goes to Cadets for Amazing Grace/Doxology and Crown for Rhapsody on a Theme of Pagannini/Bohemian Rhapsody

oldbandguy
1. Bluecoats 2. SCV 3. Phantom Those 5,6,7 place corps are certainly bringing it in their ballads this year.
N.E. Brigand
"Creep", despite the piano opening. (To which I object mainly on philosophical grounds. It doesn't sound bad, and I do appreciate that they're not using a piano there just because the original had a piano introduction: in fact, it didn't, as I found when I sought out the song on Youtube. I was unfamiliar with Radiohead, beyond the name, apart from their "appearance" on South Park.) Haven't seen the others mentioned yet.
