Galen
I assume University of Indiana, since they did the pre-show, and they had the same drums That was indeed the Indiana University Marching Hundred.
Mr.Potato.Head
Wrong - Jeff Queen was one of them. Check the Vic Firth Web page and look again. I did and Jeff Queen was one of the drummers during the National Anthem, not during halftime. Hence why I specified that in my original post. Thank you.
Rifuarian
That was indeed the Indiana University Marching Hundred. Yep, it was IU's drumline, among others! Maybe the University of Indiana's drumline was in there too, but I've never heard of them!

Mr.Potato.Head
The actual percussion playing was recorded by the Cadets. Per George Hopkins via Facebook: " I betcha I know who pre-recorded the percussion piece with Madonna :-) about a month ago. All was piped in for television and live performance. Great job by all"
stbdrums
Jeff Queen was there? I'm starting to wish I didn't miss the national anthem and half time show. On a side note, what are those football players doing on OUR field!?

Per George Hopkins via Facebook: " I betcha I know who pre-recorded the percussion piece with Madonna :-) about a month ago. All was piped in for television and live performance. I was wondering if Cadets or some other prominent drum line recorded the parts. Even though it was via stealth, and none of the general audience will ever know, it's ALWAYS great to see drum corps represent on the big stage!!
