RockEuph
They just say "15" over and over in French
azul
I don't mind vocals in shows, especially tasty ones (PC, BLOO AND CROWN 07) but I don't feel these add to the show any. Especially with that gorgeous flugelhorn solo happening and the lush sound the horn line is producing right there. Don't get me wrong, I like this show a lot and I haven't liked a BD show in a while. I just think it isn't needed.
skywhopper
The narration in all languages ruins BD's show for me. I really enjoy every moment of it that doesn't include the narration. That said, I doubt it will be much longer before we see some kind of video projection to help explain shows to us. Perhaps BD could use an opera-house-style supertitle screen on the backfield line.
ozarkbugler
Whatever they are saying it must send a subliminal message to the judges. <---don't flame...just being sarcastic again.
jasgre2000
It sounds like an actual historical recording, so I doubt it was recorded just for this show. I imagine it has something to do with a figure in the Dada "non-movement". Isn't there some Dada manifesto or something like that? I always assumed that was what it was. jasgre2000
I don't like voice overs that are there for their content, but I don't mind them when they are there for effect and for their sound. I feel like that is the difference between what BD is doing with their voice over this year compared to what the Bluecoats are doing with their voiceover (or what The Cadets have done with their's in past years). I know some will disagree with me ... that is fine. It doesn't cover up the flugelhorn solo, in my opinion, it just changes the way it sounds and is presented. Its not like you can't hear the solo. BRASSO
I can't seem to get out of my own way How did you correctly guess that the translation was that ?
Lincoln
The narration in all languages ruins BD's show for me. I'm not fond of the narration either. I listen to the APD though to try and get as much as I can from everything but the narration. I didn't like BDs show at the beginning last year. I then got my DVD and looked at BD and started to really like their show. I then listened to the finals recording of it for over 100 times - I liked their music that much. APDs/CDs recordings of each DCI year are a huge part of the activity. This year I get the feeling that I'm listening to a WGI show. I guess this is why WGI offers videos and no APDs. BDs show reminds me of a WGI show. This is great for WGI, but I do love to get my DCI APDs.
Cron
Sheesh, two pages of replies and still no translation... C'mon folks. No French speakers around here? Or at least someone close to the BD organization that has the inside scoop. Inquiring minds want to know.
chaddyt
This may end up being the third most ridiculous post of the season, but is there a section of narration that's in German?
