  1. Used Jupiter "Quantum" series marching euphonium in lacquer. Great playing horn that I hate to let go, but I just don't have any real use for it right now. There are a few dents and scratches,as well as evidence of bell repair and a loose brace connecting the 2nd valve casing to the bell. Valves, slides, and the first valve trigger mechanism all move freely and smoothly. Includes stock hard case and Jupiter 5G mouthpiece. $1,150+ shipping OBO to the continental US.Pics- https://imgur.com/a/fQsPf
  2. Probably because Troopers and Madison are going to be close to home and DCI doesn't have the time and resources to fly out to every corps and do a webcast.
  3. The return season turned out to be a very successful venture for the Avengers. The corps was strongly competitive throughout the season and their efforts were rewarded when the Avengers made finals for the first time in corps history! Thanks all for a great season and congratulations to Ivory Brigade, Mercury, and Xothyme on their championships. Looking forward to the future.
  4. Fiedler is trying to build a medaling corps.... at SCV, not Cavies.
  5. Teal Sound did a Metallica show in 2001 and Dream Theater in 2004 and 2010.
  6. This forum and some facebook groups have conditioned me to the point that whenever the letters "W", "G", and "I" appear anywhere near each other in a post, I immediately lose interest in what that person has to say.
  7. Great draws for SCV, BK, and Bloo. Not so much for Troop and OC.
  8. SCV 2002, 2003, 2008 Glassmen 2005, 2010 Madison 2003 Magic 2003 Crown 2005 Phantom 2001, 2004, 2009 Southwind 2000, 2005, 2006 Bluecoats 2004, 2005 Blue Devils 1998, 2000, 2008 Cadets 2003, 2007, 2012 Just to name a few.
  9. The Avengers presented a stunning performance in their hometown of Orlando to secure our highest Southern Star Cup placement ever and catapult up the rankings. The return tour is turning out to be quite successful. Shout out to our friends at Star of Jupiter who always put on a great show!
  10. None of the source music was Philip Glass. It was all Barber and Bartok. Star literally never played anything by Philip Glass in their entire existence.
  11. The bass trombone part isn't bad, the piece is just a ##### to rehearse!
  12. Interested to see where SCV stacks up with the competition. Hoping they do well tonight.
  13. It's really cool to see Impulse doing shows outside of Cali again.
  14. Crown was also a consistent finalist for 7 years before 2002 so they definitely had momentum to help their rise. Pioneer doesn't quite have the momentum or clout that Crown had, even after 02. Also, look at corps like Colts and Troopers and even Crossmen. They can tell you how hard it is to break into the top 12, and they've all had some pretty heavy hitters on the staff recent years. Pio definitely has their work cut out for them to get to the level of a finalist but I certainly wish them the best of luck. In the meantime, let's enjoy what they're doing this year.
  15. Did Boston's show just start over for anyone else?
