Mad75
Someone help me out here...Madison has apparently tied this evening at Quarters with the Cavies with both scoring an 89.90. Boston had an 88.95 with a 1 point penalty. Because of the tie, does that bump up a 13th corps into the mix, or do they leave things as is with Madison and Cavies tying for 8th or 9th? I’m thinking they leave it at 12.
Kamarag
It doesn't matter tonight in any case. The only way they add a 13th if it happens tomorrow is if the tie is for 12th.

I'm thinking they leave it at 12. Actually, Boston's penalty had them at 87.95, so they'd still be behind Madison and Cavies without it. So I guess the tie would be for 7th between them...not 100% sure though. I do think that does bump up the 13th place corps though.

Thank you for the clarification regarding Boston's score...Someone else here on DCP had put them a point higher before the penalty, but your information jives with DCI.org's scoring.
SFZFAN
Kind of wish I had gone to the theater last night. Madison back in it fighting for 7th. Looking forward to tonight!

Man- I hate to be a downer but I think we will see things change tonight back to what they were about a week ago (sitting in 9th). Based on last night's BK score who knows- they may end up getting dumped into 10th. CM

CM It wouldn't surprise me if Boston/Madison/Cavies switch it up the next two nights but I don't think BK is going to beat any of the three. **Plus - did you see the Scouts drum score? Finally they're starting to get rewarded for that smoking drumline! Edited August 9, 2013 by SFZFAN

Right there with you! Thing is I like Boston's show and it certainly held my attention yesterday (though everyone knows you have to use the actual "Goldbond" product to avoid a penalty :-) ) Hell, back when I marched with as much of that stuff that was flying around we should have been penalized every night we marched on to the field! As for Cavies-- 3 of my favorite all time shows are 00-02; however, I just feel like this show is not hitting the mark. I think they are getting a nod based on "name" or past years just as Madison has been getting snubbed in percussion based on recent history...heck I felt our lines during the 1990's did not get enough credit. I also feel strongly that our hornline is top 6-7 this year; however, Cavies guard has the edge (though our guys are night and day better than they have been ). I can't stress this point enough---THIS GUARD IS BETTER THAN A 12TH FREAKING PLACE GUARD! I'm thinking we will see more of the same with who is judging them tonight. As for Blue Knights- as much as I hate to admit it I actually enjoyed their show. While I do not think they are better than Scouts this year I just would not be surprised to see the "good ol' boys" aka powers-that-be arbitrarily put us in 10th. Either way- I love this show but really do miss bad### visual/precise marching we used to be known for. What is so wrong with a hip ball change darn it :-)! Just some ramblings... Two years or so ago it was essentially a swap of percussion staffs between the two. I believe Lee Beddis is top notch and an excellent caption head frankiE
