JimF-LowBari
Even Crossmen busses were sometimes fueled with Cadets souvie revenues. Everytime I read "YEA saved Crossmen" I get the hidden message "So don't ##### if you don't like what YEA did with them. We can do what we want...". Tekneek
No offense, but DCI, without the G7, wouldn't last very long either. It is already struggling. Pushing the only corps that really approach financial stability out of the organization will mean the death of DCI. Like it or not, DCI and the G7 are codependent. So if you want to keep drum corps alive, there will have to be some compromises. I would rather DCI go under than be held hostage by someone like George Hopkins.

Doesn't garfield's 990s thread show otherwise?

There's not much left to give. they have their super shows. they get paid more to show up. all thats left is power, and hey, nothing stopped them from running for the BOD the last 2 years. THEY chose to remove themselves from the power.

Tekneek
Brilliant! Cut off your nose to spite your face. My personal view. Hopkins has been the primary driver making drum corps less appealing to me over the years, so not much to lose at this point.
MikeN
So, beyond the PR sleight of hand that DCI pulled yesterday, will we be getting any actual info from the meetings, or just a vague press release when it's over? Mike

Mike Back to the 990s, Mike. :tongue:/> There are only a couple of sleights of hand that can be waved over those.
