It seems the last couple times I watched streamed shows (most recent being last night)...I have to turn up the volume on the laptop...and on the TV...all the way....to get anywhere close to something I can hear...any suggestions?

PS-sorry for the double post in the reviews section...

It's called "you're getting old!". Get your ears checked...

Ok, seriously...with the exception of Stanford, the sound on the webcasts have been maddening. Poor mike placement, inconsistent levels and poor service. Who knows what technical difficulties the A/V people have been running into this year? I think a decent amount is self-inflicted, but I realize that anything live is fraught with danger. Seems as if the final issues on the shows individually are "fixed", so it sounds more like traffic issues with the network. A friend in Vegas had all kinds of trouble with the sound last night, but we were fine here in SoCal. I feel for them and you, but I'm not sure what they can do about it. Let's just hope ATL is dialed in!

Yeah last night was rough. SQ audio was fine, but the video quality is only view-able on a monitor in a small window.. full screen is awful and on a TV, forget it. Normal HQ had tons of popping/cracking most of the night. Beta HQ was good until the last few shows where the video stuttered constantly, but the sound was very good.

In ALL the feeds so far, I personally think you hear the amped stuff WAY too much and it overpowers the brass.

Having the same volume issues. It's not the sound quality that I'm worried about; I'm more worried about how I have to maximize volume by turning up the volume bar on BOTH the webcast and my computer, and I still don't get the desired volume via my earphones. It's even worse if I use speakers.

I'm sure there are those that are like, "You're not watching it live, so don't expect it to feel like a live show, so deal with it," but this situation is almost analogous to putting in a Blu-ray/DVD version of a show and only getting a moderately loud show even after cranking up all the volume settings.

well I guess I should be glad it's not just me...I'll just have to make sure there is total silence in the room next time...but hopefully, it will be better...
