RContra
Way more than 90% of the best drum corps shows ever have zero narration; in fact, fewer than ten shows over the past ten yeas (since amplified voice was first allowed) even have tolerable narration. Might want to check the definition of "fact" there, tiger. I'm not a big narration fan (only show I can think of offhand where I really, really liked it was in Bluecoats 07), but it's faux-factual statements like these that are a solid chunk of the reason current marching members mostly regard DCP as a cesspool.

N.E. Brigand
Sorry, let me clarify: "in fact, (it is my opinion that) fewer than ten shows over the past ten years even have tolerable narration." Lincoln
Of all the music I've heard so far this year, the "Hands of Fate" section of Blue Knights show is one of my favorite. The lower brass just belts it out of the stadium and it's incredible!
Gloryah
Even though we haven't seen it on the field yet, "To Build A Home", I think, is going to be my favorite part of the show.
Lincoln
Did Blue Knights change drill writers this year? Usually you see similarities in drill writing styles from year to the next but this year I get the impression they have a completely new style of drill - unless last year's drill writer changed his/her style to accomodate the new lighter uniforms. I think it suits the new uniforms really well. Edited June 23, 2014 by Lincoln

I love his style, very modern and creative Edited June 23, 2014 by wesleyrp

It is a beautiful tune...the band I work with used it as our ballad last season.

I think the words you were looking for were "needlessly hard".
