packetslave
Presentation of the Flag to the war widow - Bluecoats 1995 +1000 to this. You could hear a pin drop in the stadium, other than Kelly's sobbing.

2000Cadet
I saw it, trust me. You don't. That was absolutely painful and heartbreaking to watch. I only watched it once almost 4 years ago and I still remember every detail. You could tell in the crowd reaction for the Bluecoats that people were still shocked. Like you said, it all ended well in 2012 with him getting to age out. I was at finals that year when it happened and I felt so bad for him. I can't even imagine ending a season on a note like that. My response to the op's question, Being announced in 1st place every night of the season in 2000...
Lincoln
I'm not sure heart-wrenching is the right term but I think i understand the meaning. Maybe "pulling on heart strings" is more like it. i remember hearing Barbara Maroney with Garfield in '82 and '83. Such beautiful solos, played with such beautiful musical arrangements. There are so many others after, but it was quite special then. Edited July 31, 2014 by Lincoln
TexasPRfan
Oh so many... I always have fun with a question like this as it allows me to remember so many incredible moments. Agogobell28
SCV 1990 Carmen, first ballad and closer. SCV 1988 closer. That moment in the Freelancers 1991 show when the sop soloist goes up to a concert D (double G), and the letdown from that. Garfield 1984, I Have A Love, natch. MikeN
Thinking of live shows, first one that comes to mind was seeing Phantom's '96 show midsummer when they hit The Chord. Mike

Tim K
Many of my favorite memories are already listed, but I will have to admit Madison's 2013 show caught me off guard. I had heard the MP3 version prior to seeing the show live in Lawrence, MA. I would imagine I also saw it via Fan Network, but for some reason when I saw it live the first time, it moved me almost to the point of tears. A few days later in Allentown I was sitting near a man wearing a POW MIA t-shirt and he did start balling. Then at prelims, I was near the Madison block and seeing the alums stand and sing along again moved me. Troopers sunburst lasts season did it for me too. I know I saw the sunburst live back in the day but seeing it again by a new generation and having a crowd get so excited was something. By "Danny Boy" in 27th's "Once More in 94," I'm sure I was a basket case. Finally, I know I must have loved BAC's 2002 "You Are My Star" when I saw it live because it's on my list of favorites and has been since 2002, but I recall seeing it not too long after the Boston Marathon bombing in 2013. Perhaps being from the Boston area, and knowing the show as a 9-11 memorial, it had significance for me and I recall being moved by it in a new way. luv4corps
Without a doubt the most thrilling moment in drum corps for me was when PR's drum major was slain by the other drum major, Spartacus. The theater alone in that show still gives me thrills and chills.
