futurebluecoat
You're writing off Crown who is closing in on Cadets pretty fast, and still has a new closer coming which will benefit their show more than anyone else's additions (due to theirs being the most "incomplete" right now). Crown have a chance at winning some key captions and the rest are close enough now with improved drums that they are easily a contender. You're totally right. Sorry I missed them. I'm super excited for the ending!

But they're not yet closing fast on Cadets. Day by day it can change, but it hasn't much yet.
NCWVUFAN
Yeah, Crown needs a closer, great show but I'm not sure that this show has the level of difficulty to win in august. I'd say 4 corps are in the running, BD, Bluecoats, Cadets, and Crown, with SCV as a darkhorse. Cadets and Bluecoats have the best shows so i'll give them the edge at this point, matter of how well they work their shows into aug. Yeah last time I checked, Cadets also have a new closer coming in. But I agree that no one should be written off at this point. Remember what happened last year... Remember what happened last year... I think his point is that Crown's current closer is much more incomplete than Cadets' current closer so Crown will experience a greater jump. Not saying I agree, but I think that's what he's saying.
chaddyt
I get how a new closer can give a bit of a bump, but I've never understood how some on here see them as a complete game changer.

It's the ending statement of a show. I think it makes a pretty huge difference. Phantom 2008 is a good example I believe.
